Air 2 (US$49.99): Hi-Res / LDAC without ANC

Best for: Hi-Res LDAC and long playtime on the lowest list price in this trio. The official black product page lists Certified Hi-Res Audio with LDAC, 10 mm wool composite dynamic drivers, Bluetooth 5.3, about 40 hours with the charging case (up to 9 hours per charge with LDAC off; about 5.5 hours / 23 hours with LDAC on), a 4-mic call array, IPX7 waterproofing with SweatShield™, fast charge (10 min → 2 hours playtime), and the EarFun Audio app for EQ and touch controls. Best for: adaptive hybrid ANC and Hi-Res LDAC without stepping up to Air Pro. The store highlights adaptive hybrid active noise cancelling up to 45 dB, Hi-Res Audio with LDAC, 11 mm wool composite drivers, Bluetooth 5.3, a 6-mic AI call stack, about 40 hours with the case (ANC off up to 9 h / 40 h; ANC on about 6 h / 27 h), fast charge (10 min → 2 hours), IPX5, and the EarFun Audio app. Treat the “up to 45 dB” figure as EarFun’s marketing maximum, not a lab result.

Things to check before you buy

  • Codec vs phone. LDAC (Air 2 / Air 2 NC) needs a supporting Android device; aptX (Air S) needs a compatible source; iPhone stays on AAC.
  • ANC numbers are marketing maxima. “Up to 45 dB” / “30 dB” are EarFun’s stated peaks, not independent lab results.
  • Same US$69.99, different stacks. Air 2 NC leans LDAC + hybrid ANC; Air S leans aptX + QCC3046 + multipoint — pick by phone and features, not price alone.
  • Playtime depends on ANC and codec. LDAC-on and ANC-on drain faster than the case-total headline.
  • Colour availability. Air 2 white was live; Air 2 NC / Air S white URLs returned 404 on October 16, 2026.
  • Air Pro is a separate line. For QuietSmart™ 3.0 / aptX Lossless flagships see the Air Pro comparison on SiftGuide.
