Every price and spec below comes from NothingProjector’s own product pages and store policies, checked on October 19, 2026. Prices are in euros, as the store charges them. We have not tested these screens; specs are as listed by the seller. Figures marked “our arithmetic” are our own calculations from those prices.
An ultra short throw (UST) projector sits a few centimetres from the wall and fires its image steeply upwards. That is why a normal white wall or a regular projector screen washes out as soon as a ceiling light is on, and why UST owners end up looking at ALR (ambient light rejecting) screens. This guide compares eight UST screens and one long-throw screen sold by the NothingProjector store, from a fixed 84-inch frame at €399 to a motorized 120-inch floor-rising screen at €2,923, and explains which listed specs actually matter.

Who can buy from this store? NothingProjector prices are in euros, and its store data lists 46 shipping destinations, all in Europe. The United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia are not on that list (checked October 19, 2026), even though the shipping policy still quotes delivery times for the USA and Australia. If you are outside Europe, confirm with the store before you order. Its shipping policy says: “Items purchased on the NothingProjector website include free shipping and taxes. No additional charges are applied.”

First check: is the screen made for your kind of projector?
UST ALR screens use a ridged optical surface aimed at a projector below them. NothingProjector describes its PET Crystal screen as using “a precision-engineered optical sawtooth structure” that “reflects light from your projector while absorbing overhead and side lighting”. That only works when the light comes from the angle the screen was designed for, so:
- UST screens are for UST projectors only. The 132-inch listing says it plainly: “The ultra short-throw ALR projector screen is ONLY compatible with ultra short-throw laser projectors, not with standard/long-throw projectors.”
- A normal (long-throw) projector needs a different ALR screen. The store sells a separate Lenticular 4K ALR screen for long/standard throw projectors (100 to 130 inches), described as “Perfect for Standard and Long-Throw Projectors”.
- Floor or ceiling matters for drop-down screens. The VIVIDSTORM PRO is listed as “Only Suitable For UST Laser Projector And Settle On Table/Floor”, while the PRO A version is for a projector “SUSPENDED IN CEILING”. NothingProjector’s own Slimline screen has the same split: “PRO: For the UST projector placed on the cabinet or bench” and “PRO A: For the UST projector mounted on the ceiling”. Both versions cost the same, so pick by where your projector sits.
Still choosing the projector itself? Our smart projector comparison explains lumens, native resolution and throw ratio.
The specs that matter on a UST screen
- Light rejection (ALR %). How much ceiling and side light the screen rejects. The listings quote 85% (PET Crystal Classic) and up to 95% (Black Series, Slimline, 132-inch seamless). The VIVIDSTORM listings describe “Excellent Ambient(Ceiling) Light Rejecting” without a percentage. These are the seller’s figures, not independent measurements.
- Gain. How much of the projector’s light the screen bounces back towards you, compared with a reference white surface (1.0). Most of the screens that state a gain are 0.6; the Fresnel screen is 1.2 and the long-throw screen 0.8. Lower-gain ALR screens trade some brightness for contrast in a lit room, so pair them with a bright projector: VIVIDSTORM asks for a “Real lumen of 1800ANSI or more”.
- Viewing angle. Listed between 160° and 180°. A wider figure means people sitting off to the side see a more even image.
- Size and seams. Both fixed NothingProjector screens note that sizes over 120 inches are made with “a splicing process” that “results in a fine seam on the screen”. If you want 130 inches or more without a seam, the 132-inch seamless model is the exception, and it is also cheaper than the spliced 130-inch Black Series (see below).
- Frame type. A fixed frame is the cheapest option here but stays on the wall. Floor-rising screens hide in a box under the projector or in a cabinet; drop-down screens roll up into a housing on the wall or ceiling. Most of the motorized screens here list a tab-tensioned design to keep the surface flat.
Fixed-frame UST screens
NothingProjector PET Crystal Classic 85% ALR (84 to 120 inches)

Best for: the lowest price for a real UST ALR screen.
The PET Crystal Classic is the entry-level option. NothingProjector lists 85% light rejection, a 0.6 gain, a 160-degree viewing angle, a 1 cm “ultra-narrow bezel” and a frosted aluminium frame, and says it is built to pair with UST projectors from “Hisense, AWOL Vision, and BenQ”.
Prices by size (store, October 19, 2026): 84″ €399 · 92″ €399 · 100″ €399 · 120″ €799
- 84, 92 and 100 inches all cost the same (€399), so if the wall allows it, 100 inches gives you the most picture for the money. Going to 120 inches adds €400 (our arithmetic).

NothingProjector Black Series 95% ALR/CLR (84 to 150 inches)

Best for: a bright living room and a premium UST laser projector.
The Black Series is the store’s main UST screen. The listing quotes “Up to 95% Ambient Light Rejection (ALR)”, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, a 170-degree viewing angle and an “ST Carbon Black” optical layer for deeper blacks. It is “engineered specifically for ultra-short throw (UST) and 4K short throw projectors”, and the page says VAT and customs duties are already included in the price.
Prices by size (store, October 19, 2026): 84″ €629 · 92″ €649 · 100″ €649 · 110″ €1,149 · 120″ €1,199 · 130″ (spliced) €2,299 · 135″ (spliced) €2,299 · 143″ (spliced) €2,340 · 150″ (spliced) €2,520
- Sizes from 130 inches are spliced, with a fine seam. The 130-inch spliced version costs €2,299, €1,100 more than the 132-inch seamless model below (our arithmetic).
- The listing warns: “We do not accept cancellations or refunds once a customized size order has been placed.”

NothingProjector Black Series 132-inch Seamless Lenticular 95% ALR

Best for: a very large image without a seam.
This is a single 132-inch size with no splice: “our 132-inch seamless design eliminates visual interruptions”. It rejects “up to 95% of ambient light, especially from overhead sources”, has a 170° viewing angle and a 0.4-inch aluminium frame wrapped in black velvet. NothingProjector says it sets up “in just 25 minutes” and includes sliding wall mounts and drywall anchors.
Prices by size (store, October 19, 2026): 132″ (seamless) €1,199
- Listed at €1,199, down from a crossed-out €1,599 on the product page.

NothingProjector Fresnel screen for UST (100 or 120 inches)

Best for: a UST projector that is not very bright.
The Fresnel screen has the highest listed gain among the UST screens here, 1.2 (the others that state a gain are 0.6), a 160-degree viewing angle and ambient light rejection described as “Excellent” (no percentage given). It comes in 16:9, 4:3 or custom ratios.
Prices by size (store, October 19, 2026): 100″ €619 · 120″ €1,249
- The 120-inch size costs €1,249, more than twice the 100-inch price (our arithmetic: €630 more).

Motorized floor-rising screens
A floor-rising screen lives in a long box on the floor or on your TV cabinet, right behind a UST projector, and rises at the press of a button. When it is down, the wall is free.
Want the projector to disappear too? Our guide to laser TV cabinets for UST projectors compares 10 motorized cabinets that hide the projector and, on many models, a floor-rising screen.
Pricing the whole setup? Our UST home-cinema cost guide adds up eight screen, cabinet and projector combinations from the same store, from a fixed screen on a motorized tray to a complete cabinet bundle.
NothingProjector Black Series 95% ALR Motorized Floor Rising (84 to 130 inches)

Best for: hiding the screen in a living room.
This floor-rising screen uses NothingProjector’s Black Series surface with a 170-degree viewing angle. It ships with a wireless RF remote, a power cord and a wireless projector trigger, and the bottom black border has a 0.4 mm perforated acoustic aperture, which NothingProjector says avoids a sound “blocking feeling”. A retractable flap at the bottom extends from 6.3 to 8.5 inches wide.
Prices by size (store, October 19, 2026): 84″ €1,299 · 92″ €1,299 · 100″ €1,299 · 110″ €1,749 · 120″ €1,749 · 130″ €2,399
- The black and white versions cost the same.
- The plug is on the left side when you face the screen; ask customer service before ordering if you need it on the right.
- The listing asks you not to adjust the black border height by hand, since that “may cause image waves or distortion”.
- At 100 inches it costs €1,299, €650 more than the fixed Black Series frame (our arithmetic).

VIVIDSTORM S PRO P Motorized Floor Rising UST ALR (72 to 120 inches)

Best for: a smaller 72-inch size or a plug-and-play install.
VIVIDSTORM’s floor-rising screen lists a 0.6 gain, a 170° angle of view and a tab-tensioned design, and says it pops up in “About 20-30 Seconds” with “No Drilling Required”. It is meant for UST laser projectors with a “Real lumen of 1800ANSI or more”. It is the only screen here offered at 72 inches.
Prices by size (store, October 19, 2026): 72″ €1,961 · 84″ €1,961 · 92″ €2,175 · 100″ €2,389 · 110″ €2,816 · 120″ €2,923
- Black and white versions cost the same. The listing says 110 V and 220 V versions exist; note your voltage when ordering.
- At 100 inches it costs €2,389, €1,090 more than NothingProjector’s own floor-rising screen (our arithmetic).

Motorized drop-down (tension) screens
Drop-down screens roll up into a slim housing on the wall or ceiling. With a UST projector, the screen must be the version made for where the projector sits (cabinet or ceiling).
NothingProjector Black Series Slimline Motorized Tension Drop Down 95% ALR (84 to 120 inches)

Best for: the lowest-priced motorized option.
The Slimline uses a lenticular ALR surface “designed to suppress up to 95% of ambient light”, with a 0.6 gain and a 180-degree viewing angle, the widest in this list. The RF remote works “up to 30 meters away”, it supports ceiling, wall, suspended and concealed installation, and a tab-tensioned rope system keeps the surface flat.
Prices by size (store, October 19, 2026): 84″ €1,255 · 92″ €1,255 · 100″ €1,299 · 120″ €1,699
- Choose PRO for a projector on a cabinet or bench and PRO A for a ceiling-mounted projector; EU and US plug versions are also listed. All cost the same at each size.
- At 84 and 92 inches it is €1,255, the cheapest motorized screen here.

VIVIDSTORM PRO / PRO A Slimline Motorized Tension Drop Down (84 to 120 inches)

Best for: a quiet motor and IR plus RF control.
VIVIDSTORM lists a 0.6 gain, a 170° angle of view, a tab-tensioned rope design and a motor with “noise as low as 30dB”. It comes with both infrared (IR) and radio-frequency (RF) remote control and supports ceiling, wall and suspended installation. The PRO is for a projector on a table or floor; the PRO A is for a ceiling-mounted projector, at the same prices.
Prices by size (store, October 19, 2026): 84″ €1,685 · 92″ €1,792 · 100″ €1,846 · 110″ €2,113 · 120″ €2,317
- The listing notes that the screen “may develop slight wrinkles” with changes in temperature and humidity, which it calls normal.
- At 100 inches it costs €1,846, €547 more than NothingProjector’s Slimline (our arithmetic).

Not for UST: the long-throw ALR screen
NothingProjector Lenticular 4K ALR for Long/Standard Throw (100 to 130 inches)

Best for: a normal projector on a shelf or ceiling mount at the back of the room.
If your projector is not a UST model, this is the screen to look at instead. It is listed with a 0.8 gain, a 170° viewing angle and a fully tensioned surface, and NothingProjector says it is “Best with projectors offering 2000 ANSI lumens or more”.
Prices by size (store, October 19, 2026): 100″ €799 · 120″ €899 · 130″ €999

What 100 inches costs, by screen type
The same 100-inch size, compared across the UST screens above (store prices on October 19, 2026):
100-inch UST screen: PET Crystal Classic (fixed)
- Price: €399
100-inch UST screen: Fresnel (fixed)
- Price: €619
100-inch UST screen: Black Series (fixed)
- Price: €649
100-inch UST screen: Black Series floor-rising
- Price: €1,299
100-inch UST screen: Black Series Slimline drop-down
- Price: €1,299
100-inch UST screen: VIVIDSTORM PRO drop-down
- Price: €1,846
100-inch UST screen: VIVIDSTORM S PRO P floor-rising
- Price: €2,389
Our arithmetic: going motorized with NothingProjector’s own screens adds €650 over the fixed Black Series frame at 100 inches, whether you pick floor-rising or drop-down. The VIVIDSTORM equivalents add a further €547 (drop-down) or €1,090 (floor-rising).
Not sure? Order the A4 sample first
NothingProjector sells an A4-size Black Series screen sample for €25, which it refunds after you buy a Black Series screen (“please contact our customer service”). Put it on your wall with the lights on and see how it handles your room. Allow time: “All samples would be sent from China with air post, please expect 7-21 days for delivery. No tracking.”
Shipping, returns and warranty
- Shipping: free standard shipping on all products, with taxes included. The store usually ships within 1-2 working days (3-5 in peak seasons) and quotes 5-7 working days of delivery for the EU after that.
- Custom sizes: 60-90 days to deliver, and customized products cannot be returned or exchanged.
- Returns: a “30-Day Worry-Free Return” from delivery, but change-of-mind returns carry a 20% fee “to cover shipping and restocking costs”, and the item must come back with its original packaging. For quality issues within 30 days, the store pays the return shipping.
- Damage on arrival: contact the store within 24 hours of delivery with photos. It also recommends recording a video or taking photos while unboxing.
- Warranty: the store’s policy gives a 1-year warranty covering quality issues only.
Which one should you choose?
- Tightest budget: the PET Crystal Classic at 100 inches (€399).
- Bright living room, fixed wall: the Black Series (95% ALR, 170°), from €629.
- Dimmer UST projector: the Fresnel screen, with the highest listed gain (1.2).
- 130 inches or bigger: the 132-inch seamless screen (€1,199) beats the spliced 130-inch Black Series on price and avoids the seam.
- Screen out of sight when the projector is off: NothingProjector’s floor-rising or Slimline drop-down screen (both €1,299 at 100 inches); pick VIVIDSTORM if you need a 72-inch size (S PRO P floor-rising) or IR control and a motor rated as low as 30 dB (PRO drop-down).
- Not a UST projector: skip all of the above and look at the long-throw ALR screen.
Where the store’s own information does not match (we used the live product pages and flag these instead of guessing):
- The PET Crystal Classic text lists 84″, 94″, 100″ and 120″ sizes, but the sizes you can select are 84, 92, 100 and 120 inches.
- The A4 sample is listed with a 160-degree viewing angle, while the Black Series screen it samples is listed at 170 degrees.
- The VIVIDSTORM drop-down listing mentions a “2 years Manufacture Warranty”; the store’s refund policy gives a 1-year warranty. Ask which one applies before you buy.
- The shipping policy quotes delivery times for the USA and Australia, but neither is on the store’s shipping list.
- The affiliate product feed we also checked lists these screens in US dollars and with different amounts (for example 969 USD for the 120-inch Fresnel screen, against €1,249 on the store). We used the store’s euro prices.
FAQ
Can I use a UST ALR screen with a normal projector?
No. NothingProjector says its UST ALR screen is “ONLY compatible with ultra short-throw laser projectors, not with standard/long-throw projectors.” Use a long-throw ALR screen instead.
Do I need a special screen for a UST projector?
A plain wall can work in a dark room, but an ALR screen designed for UST is meant to keep the picture watchable with the lights on. The listings here quote 85% to 95% ambient light rejection.
What size should I buy?
Measure the wall and check your projector’s supported image size. On the PET Crystal Classic, 84, 92 and 100 inches cost the same; over 120 inches, most fixed screens are spliced with a fine seam, except the 132-inch seamless model.
Are prices including VAT?
The store’s shipping policy says purchases “include free shipping and taxes. No additional charges are applied.” Prices are in euros.
Can I return a screen if I change my mind?
Within 30 days of delivery, yes, but the store charges a 20% fee for change-of-mind returns, and custom-size screens cannot be returned.
