Affiliate disclosure: this post contains affiliate links (Awin) to Wondershare’s Media.io website. If you buy through them, SiftGuide may earn a commission at no extra cost to you; it does not change your price or terms. Plans, prices, credits and limits come from Media.io’s official pricing page (plan cards, comparison table, credits tab, FAQ and the page’s own price settings) and its homepage, and refund rules from Wondershare’s refund policy, all checked on October 21, 2026. All prices are the US-dollar prices the English pricing page shows; your checkout may add local taxes or payment fees. We have not tested Media.io ourselves.
Media.io is Wondershare’s browser-based AI studio for video, images and audio: text and image to video, image generation and editing, music, text to speech, subtitles, background and watermark removal. Its homepage calls it “The All-in-One AI Creative Platform”. The pricing page offers Free, Standard and Premium memberships plus credit packs, and most visitors see Standard at US$7.99/mo and Premium at US$13.99/mo on yearly billing. What the page doesn’t say is that it checks your location and shows one of three different price sets, and the cheaper sets also come with fewer credits. Here is what each plan costs, which price you will probably see, and what to know about the trial, credits and refunds.

Media.io plans at a glance (default prices)
These are the prices Media.io’s pricing page shows to visitors from most countries, including the US, the UK, Canada, Australia and most of Europe:
Plan: Free
- Billed monthly: free
- Billed yearly: free
- Yearly plan per month (as shown): –
- Credits: 3 daily check-in credits; up to 1 video, 1 image, 1 audio
- Export: 720p, with watermark
Plan: Standard
- Billed monthly: US$15.99 a month
- Billed yearly: US$95.88 a year
- Yearly plan per month (as shown): US$7.99
- Credits: 200 a month (+5 daily check-in)
- Export: 1080p, no watermark
Plan: Premium
- Billed monthly: US$27.99 a month
- Billed yearly: US$167.88 a year
- Yearly plan per month (as shown): US$13.99
- Credits: 600 a month (+10 daily check-in)
- Export: 1080p, no watermark

On yearly billing, the “50% OFF” claim checks out for the default prices (our math): twelve months of Standard at US$15.99 cost US$191.88 against US$95.88 for a year, and twelve months of Premium at US$27.99 cost US$335.88 against US$167.88. Both save exactly half. The “/mo” figures on the Yearly tab are the yearly price divided by twelve; you pay US$95.88 or US$167.88 up front. Media.io’s FAQ says as much: “The monthly unit prices listed on this page are determined by the annual subscription prices of the products,” and it adds that “the prices shown on this page are for reference purposes only”, so check the checkout page before you pay.

Your country changes the price, and the credits
Media.io’s pricing page asks a Wondershare location service which country you are in, then picks one of three price sets written into the page code. We loaded the page with that location answer set to a country from each group and recorded what it showed (all prices in US dollars, as on the page):
Group A is Brazil, China, Mexico, Malaysia, Poland, Portugal, Russia, South Africa, Spain and Turkey. Group B is Chile, India, Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand. Every other country gets the default prices.
What the page shows: Standard, billed monthly
- Default: US$15.99
- Group A: US$10.99
- Group B: US$9.99
What the page shows: Standard, billed yearly
- Default: US$95.88
- Group A: US$71.88
- Group B: US$83.88
What the page shows: Standard credits a month
- Default: 200
- Group A: 100
- Group B: 100
What the page shows: Premium, billed monthly
- Default: US$27.99
- Group A: US$19.99
- Group B: US$17.99
What the page shows: Premium, billed yearly
- Default: US$167.88
- Group A: US$119.88
- Group B: US$155.88
What the page shows: Premium credits a month
- Default: 600
- Group A: 400
- Group B: 500
What the page shows: Max video generations a month (Standard / Premium)
- Default: 20 / 60
- Group A: 10 / 40
- Group B: 10 / 50

The cheaper groups are not simply discounts. Group A pays US$24.00 less a year for Standard but gets half the credits, so per credit its Standard plan is the most expensive of all. Our math, price divided by the plan’s monthly credits:
Cost per plan credit: Standard, yearly
- Default: US$0.040
- Group A: US$0.060
- Group B: US$0.070
Cost per plan credit: Standard, monthly
- Default: US$0.080
- Group A: US$0.110
- Group B: US$0.100
Cost per plan credit: Premium, yearly
- Default: US$0.023
- Group A: US$0.025
- Group B: US$0.026
Cost per plan credit: Premium, monthly
- Default: US$0.047
- Group A: US$0.050
- Group B: US$0.036
Everything else in the comparison table is the same in all three groups: export length (60 minutes on Standard, 120 on Premium), 1080p export, storage (20G / 50G), 2G uploads, auto subtitles, text to speech (10,000 / 80,000 characters a month), generation speed and the 15% discount on extra credits for Premium. So if you mainly use the editing tools, the cheaper groups get the same features for less; if you mainly generate AI video or images, compare credits, not the headline price. The yearly saving also differs: about 45.5% on Standard and 50.0% on Premium in Group A, but only 30.0% and 27.8% in Group B, where the page’s badge reads “28% OFF” (our math).
Two practical notes: the page uses your connection’s location, so a VPN or travel can change what you see; and what you are actually charged is whatever the checkout page shows, plus “applicable local taxes and service fees of payment platforms”, as the pricing page notes.
The 3-day free trial renews as a yearly plan
In the Yearly view, the Premium card can show a “Try 3 Days For Free” option with this small print: “3-day free trial, then auto-renews at US$167.88/yr (for free users only). Cancel any time.” So the trial turns into the full yearly charge, not the US$13.99 “/mo” figure. The page code only shows this option to visitors from Austria, Australia, Canada, Colombia, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, the UK and the US; it did not appear in the Group A or Group B views, or on the Monthly tab.
Practical tip: Wondershare’s refund policy asks you to cancel “at least 24 hours before the current trial or billing period ends to avoid being charged for the next term”, and it lists uncancelled renewals among the cases that are not eligible for a refund. On a 3-day trial that means cancelling by the end of day 2 if you don’t want to pay US$167.88. Subscriptions are managed in your Wondershare account.
Standard vs Premium
Media.io’s comparison table (default prices) differs between the two paid plans in these rows:
Feature: Monthly credits
- Standard: 200
- Premium: 600
Feature: Daily check-in credits
- Standard: 5
- Premium: 10
Feature: Max video / image / audio generations a month
- Standard: 20 / 200 / 200
- Premium: 60 / 600 / 600
Feature: Generation speed
- Standard: Fast
- Premium: Turbo
Feature: Video export length
- Standard: 60 mins
- Premium: 120 mins
Feature: Cloud storage
- Standard: 20G
- Premium: 50G
Feature: Auto subtitle
- Standard: 60 mins a month
- Premium: 120 mins a month
Feature: Text to speech
- Standard: 10,000 characters a month
- Premium: 80,000 characters a month
Feature: Discount on extra credits
- Standard: –
- Premium: 15%
Feature: “Unlimited Nano Banana Pro” (plan card)
- Standard: –
- Premium: yes
On default prices, Premium costs US$72.00 more a year than Standard for three times the credits, so it is the cheaper plan per credit (US$0.023 vs US$0.040 on yearly billing). Both export 1080p without a watermark and upload files up to 2G.
Compare Standard and Premium on Media.io
What the free plan gives you
The Free plan (“Get Started”) lists 3 daily check-in credits, up to 1 video, 1 image and 1 audio generation, normal generation speed, 1GB of cloud storage, 720p exports and “Export with watermark”. The comparison table adds 10-minute exports, 512M uploads, 5 minutes of auto subtitles and 2,000 characters of text to speech. It is enough to try the tools, not to produce regularly. Credit packs and monthly credit plans
If you only need AI generations now and then, the Credits tab sells them without a membership (default prices):
Credits: 100
- Pay As You Go (one-off): US$14.99
- Monthly Credit Plan: US$8.99 a month
Credits: 200
- Pay As You Go (one-off): US$20.99
- Monthly Credit Plan: US$13.99 a month
Credits: 300
- Pay As You Go (one-off): US$25.99
- Monthly Credit Plan: US$17.99 a month
Credits: 500
- Pay As You Go (one-off): US$34.99
- Monthly Credit Plan: US$26.99 a month
Credits: 1000
- Pay As You Go (one-off): US$47.99
- Monthly Credit Plan: US$39.99 a month
Credits: 2000
- Pay As You Go (one-off): US$70.69
- Monthly Credit Plan: US$69.99 a month
Pay As You Go credits “will be valid for 2 years”; the Monthly Credit Plan “automatically renews”. For comparison, Standard’s 200 monthly credits on yearly billing work out to US$0.040 each, cheaper than any pack, and include 1080p watermark-free export. The page code holds alternative credit-pack prices as well, so packs may also cost differently depending on your country.
Files, ownership and payment
From the pricing page FAQ: “all uploaded files and generated content on Media.io are automatically deleted from our servers within 7 days”, “There is no backup made of user files”, and “You keep the copyright and ownership of the source and converted files.” Download what you make; don’t treat Media.io as storage, whatever your cloud quota says. Payment options include cards, PayPal and bank/wire transfer.

Refunds: the “7-day money back guarantee”
The pricing page says: “We offer a no-hassle 7-day money back guarantee in all our products.” Wondershare’s refund policy, which covers Media.io, sets the conditions:
- Media.io is on the list of products with a 7-day window: “MobileTrans, Dr.Fone series, Recoverit, Repairit, Relumi, and Media.io series 7 days from initial payment”;
- not eligible: credits or other usage-based benefits that “have already been consumed”, “dissatisfaction with AI-generated output”, change of mind, and renewals you did not cancel before the charge;
- EU residents “may have a 14-day right of withdrawal, subject to applicable legal exceptions”;
- requests go through Wondershare Account Center > My Orders > Order History.
In practice: if you plan to ask for a refund, do it within 7 days and before you use the credits.
Which Media.io plan should you pick?
- Just trying it: the Free plan, accepting 720p and the watermark.
- A one-off project: Standard on monthly billing (US$15.99 at default prices), cancelled at least 24 hours before it renews; or a Pay As You Go credit pack if you only need a few generations.
- Regular creating: a yearly plan. Premium (US$167.88 a year at default prices) is the better value per credit if you generate a lot of AI video; Standard (US$95.88) if you mostly edit, subtitle and export.
- If you are in Group A or B: compare credits, not just prices; Standard there has 100 credits a month instead of 200.
Check the Media.io price for your country
Where Media.io’s own pages don’t agree (checked October 21, 2026)
- “Unlimited – No Daily Cap” and “100% Free”: claims on the homepage, while the Free plan on the pricing page has 3 daily check-in credits, up to 1 video, 1 image and 1 audio, 720p exports and a watermark.
- Price depends on location, not stated: the pricing page never says prices or credits vary by country, yet its code serves three price sets, and the cheaper ones include fewer credits.
- “Cancel anytime”: the plan cards say cancel anytime; the refund policy asks you to cancel at least 24 hours before a trial or billing period ends and generally refuses refunds on renewals you did not cancel.
- “No-hassle” money back: the pricing page promises a no-hassle 7-day money back guarantee “in all our products”; the refund policy excludes used credits, dissatisfaction with AI output and change of mind.
- “Free Trial” column: the comparison table labels the Free plan “Free Trial”, while the actual 3-day free trial is a Premium yearly offer shown only in some countries.

In both groups Standard includes 100 credits a month instead of 200.
