Every price and spec below comes from NothingProjector’s own product pages and store policies, checked on October 25, 2026. Prices are in euros, as the store charges them. We have not tested these screens; specs and brightness claims are as listed by the seller. Figures marked “our arithmetic” are our own calculations from those prices.
Most projector-screen advice online is now about ultra short throw (UST) laser TVs. But if your projector sits on a shelf, a coffee table or a ceiling mount and throws its picture across the room (a long-throw or “standard” projector), the screen choice is different, and UST ALR screens will not work for you. This guide compares the screens NothingProjector sells for regular projectors: a matte white fixed frame from €299, the same matte white surface as a motorized floor-rising screen, a long-throw ALR screen for lit rooms, a folding outdoor screen, plus a lift cabinet that hides the projector itself.

Note: NothingProjector prices in euros (EUR) and ships only to European countries (46 destinations on its ships-to list; the US and UK are not on it). Its shipping policy says: “Items purchased on the NothingProjector website include free shipping and taxes. No additional charges are applied.” If you are outside Europe, check with the store before you order.

Matte white or ALR: the one decision that matters
The two surfaces solve different problems:
- Matte white (gain 1.3) reflects your projector’s light back brightly and evenly. NothingProjector calls its matte white material “the ultimate choice for dimly lit environments or dark rooms”. It also works with any throw distance; the store’s FAQ says: “Unlike ALR (ambient light rejecting) screens that are highly sensitive to light angles, our design flexibly adapts to different lens types and throw ratios.” Choose it for a cinema room, a bedroom or a living room you can darken.
- Long-throw ALR (gain 0.8) is built to reject room light: the listing says it is “Engineered to neutralize 95% of ambient light”. The lower gain means it returns less of the projector’s own light than the 1.3-gain matte white, so it needs a stronger projector: NothingProjector says it is “Best with projectors offering 2000 ANSI lumens or more”. Choose it if you watch with lights on or daylight in the room and your projector is bright.
What gain means: it compares how much light a screen sends back towards the viewer with a plain reference white surface (gain 1.0). A 1.3-gain screen looks brighter than that reference with the same projector; a 0.8-gain screen looks a little dimmer but keeps contrast when lights are on. Check your projector’s rated brightness before choosing, and note that brands quote different lumen standards (ANSI, ISO, CVIA), which are not directly comparable. Our smart projector comparison lists the brightness and throw ratio of four regular projectors from the same store.
Got a UST projector instead? The matte white screens and the OpenAir screen are listed for UST as well, but for a lit room a UST-specific ALR screen is the usual choice. See our ALR screens for UST projectors guide.
The screens
NothingProjector Matte White Fixed Frame (100 or 120 inches)

Best for: the lowest price for a proper screen in a dark or dim room.
A tensioned matte white PVC surface on an aluminium alloy frame, in 16:9. NothingProjector lists a 1.3 gain (“1.3 High Gain & +25% Brightness Boost”), a “170° half-gain viewing cone”, HDR10+ and Active 3D support and a “Speckle-Free Optical Surface” for laser projectors. It is listed for “Standard (Long Throw), Short Throw, and Ultra Short Throw (UST) projectors”.
Price (store, October 25, 2026): 100″ €299 · 120″ €349

NothingProjector Matte White Motorized Floor Rising (100 or 120 inches)

Best for: a living room where the screen should disappear when you are not watching.
The same 1.3-gain matte white idea in a motorized case that sits on the floor or a low cabinet; the screen rises out of it and needs no wall mounting. The listing quotes 97% surface flatness from a tab-tensioned design, a quiet DC motor, and about “20 to 30 seconds to fully extend or descend”. Control options are a wireless remote, voice control through Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, and a USB trigger that raises and lowers the screen with the projector (“USB Trigger Sync (Automatic Rise & Fall)”). The remote can store a preferred height, and the page lists 16:9, 4:3 and 1:1 formats.
Price (store, October 25, 2026): 100″ €799 · 120″ €999
- Crossed-out prices on the page: €999 (100″) and €1,199 (120″).
- Our arithmetic: the motor and case add €500 over the fixed matte white frame at 100 inches and €650 at 120 inches.
- The listing says it is “Fully optimized for floor, table, or ceiling projector setups” and has a hidden handle for moving it between rooms.

NothingProjector Lenticular 4K ALR for Long/Standard Throw (100, 120 or 130 inches)

This is the ALR option for regular projectors. The spec table lists 95% ambient light rejection, a 0.8 gain, a 170° viewing angle, 16:9 or 4:3, and “Normal/Standard/Long Throw Projector” as the applicable type. The surface is fully tensioned to prevent wrinkles. NothingProjector says it is “Best with projectors offering 2000 ANSI lumens or more”.
Price (store, October 25, 2026): 100″ €799 · 120″ €899 · 130″ €999
- Our arithmetic: at 100 inches it costs €500 more than the fixed matte white frame, and the same as the motorized matte white floor-rising screen (€799).
- It is the only screen here offered at 130 inches.

NothingProjector OpenAir Series Outdoor Folding Screen with Stand (100 or 120 inches)

Best for: garden, camping and outdoor movie nights.
A portable screen with its own stand: an aluminium alloy and stainless steel frame that, according to the listing, sets up in about three minutes without tools (“3-Minute Tool-Free Fast Setup”), with tie-down lines against wind, three height positions and a zipped carry bag. The 3-layer PVC surface has a 1.3 gain and a black backing to stop light coming through from behind. It is listed for long-throw and UST projectors.
Price (store, October 25, 2026): 100″ €339 · 120″ €379
- Listed weights: 26.46 lb (100″) and 29.54 lb (120″), about 12.0 kg and 13.4 kg (our conversion). Packed sizes: 830 × 332 × 210 mm and 970 × 332 × 210 mm.
- Our arithmetic: only €40 more than the indoor matte white fixed frame at 100 inches.

Hide the projector too: the Shore lift cabinet
Shore Smart Motorized Hidden Lift Cabinet for Long Throw Projectors (white or walnut)

Best for: a projector that lives in the living room but should not be seen.
Instead of a ceiling mount, this sideboard-style cabinet hides a long-throw projector inside and lifts it up for viewing. The listing describes a Q235 carbon steel motorized lift, MDF body, app control plus a physical on/off button on the side, perforated side panels for ventilation and sound, a side storage compartment and lockable swivel casters. The store’s FAQ says the motor runs “at under 32 dB” and that “When raised, the top door opens completely and the projector operates in open air.” It ships fully assembled.
Price (store, October 25, 2026): White €899 · Walnut €899
- White and walnut cost the same. The page says no discount codes can be applied to this product.
- Our arithmetic: with the fixed matte white screen at 100 inches the pair comes to €1,198; with the floor-rising matte white or the long-throw ALR screen, €1,698. The page also offers “Buy with Floor Rising Screen” and “Buy with Fixed Frame Screen” bundles at a discount; check the bundle price in euros on the product page.
- The listing does not state the inner dimensions or the largest projector that fits, so check your projector’s size with the store before ordering.

For UST projectors, the same store sells many more cabinets; see our laser TV cabinet guide.
Not sure about ALR? Order the A4 sample
NothingProjector sells an A4-size sample of the long-throw ALR screen material for €25 (listed with 95% ALR, 0.8 gain and 170°). Tape it to your wall, project onto it with the lights on and compare it with the wall around it. The listing says the sample cost is refunded after you buy a long-throw screen (contact customer service), but warns: “All samples would be sent from China with air post, please expect 7-21 days for delivery. No tracking.”

Shipping, returns and warranty
- Shipping: free standard shipping on all products, with taxes included. The store usually ships within 1-2 working days (3-5 in peak seasons) and quotes 5-7 working days of delivery for the EU after that. The four screens were marked “In Stock and Ready to Ship” when we checked.
- Returns: a “30-Day Worry-Free Return” from delivery, but change-of-mind returns carry a 20% fee “to cover shipping and restocking costs”. For quality issues within 30 days, the store pays the return shipping.
- Damage on arrival: contact the store within 24 hours of delivery with photos.
- Warranty: the store’s refund policy gives a 1-year warranty covering quality issues only (see the note on the lift cabinet below).
Which one should you choose?
- Dark room, tight budget: the matte white fixed frame, €299 at 100 inches or €349 at 120 inches.
- Living room, screen out of sight: the matte white floor-rising screen (€799), with USB trigger and voice control.
- Lights on, bright projector (2,000 ANSI lumens or more): the long-throw ALR screen (€799); try the €25 sample first if you are unsure.
- Garden or camping: the OpenAir folding screen (€339).
- Hide the projector as well: add the Shore lift cabinet (€899).
Where the store’s own information does not match (we flag these instead of guessing):
- The fixed matte white and the OpenAir screens both claim a “+25%” brightness boost from a 1.3 gain, while the floor-rising matte white claims “+30%” “compared to standard white walls” with the same 1.3 gain. These are marketing figures, not measurements.
- Some spec lines give gain in “dB” (“1.3dB” on the fixed matte white, “0.8dB” on the long-throw ALR). Screen gain is a plain ratio; we read these as 1.3 and 0.8.
- The OpenAir listing describes 150″ and 200″ sizes (with heavier legs), but only 100″ and 120″ could be selected when we checked.
- The A4 sample’s title says the refund applies after buying “black series screens”, while its description says after buying “long throw projector screens”. Ask customer service which applies.
- The lift cabinet page shows a “2 Year Hassle Free Warranty” badge, while the store’s refund policy gives a 1-year warranty. Its page also still showed “EU: Estimated Shipping Date – Oct. 15th”, a date that had already passed when we checked. Confirm both with the store.
FAQ
Can I use a UST ALR screen with my regular projector?
No. UST ALR screens are designed for light arriving at a steep angle from a projector very close to the screen; NothingProjector says its UST ALR screen is only compatible with ultra short-throw projectors. For a regular projector, use a matte white screen or the long-throw ALR screen.
Is matte white or ALR better for a long-throw projector?
In a dark or dim room, matte white (gain 1.3 here) gives the brighter image. In a room with lights or daylight, an ALR screen (95% ALR, gain 0.8 here) keeps more contrast, but NothingProjector recommends 2000 ANSI lumens or more for it.
Does a floor-rising screen work with a ceiling-mounted projector?
NothingProjector says its matte white floor-rising screen is “Fully optimized for floor, table, or ceiling projector setups”. Check that the raised screen height matches where your projector’s image lands.
Are prices including VAT?
The store’s shipping policy says purchases “include free shipping and taxes. No additional charges are applied.” Prices are in euros, and the store ships only to European countries.
Can I return a screen if I change my mind?
Within 30 days of delivery, yes, but the store charges a 20% fee for change-of-mind returns.
