EU store, euro prices. All links go to eur.vevor.com, VEVOR’s European store. Prices are in euros, VAT included, exactly as the store showed them on November 3, 2026 (re-checked right before publishing), with Romania as the delivery country. Every product we link showed “In Stock”, free shipping, free returns and no time-limited deal, so the price shown is also the delivered price. Prices change; the store price at checkout is the one that counts.

Before the first real cold spell is the right moment to get the chimney and fireplace ready: sweep the flue, empty and store the ash safely, cap the chimney against rain, leaves and nesting birds, and put a screen in front of the fire. On November 3, 2026 we went through VEVOR’s EU chimney and fireplace listings and kept 12 picks, from 34,90 € to 96,90 €: three DIY chimney sweep kits (7, 10 and 12 m), two 1200 W ash vacuums, two stainless steel chimney caps, two fireplace screens, a tool set, an ash bucket kit and a log grate. Anything out of stock, nearly sold out or with a spec table that contradicted its title was left out.

Safety first. Creosote buildup in the flue is the main cause of chimney fires. Most chimney professionals recommend at least one inspection and sweep a year for a wood-burning fireplace or stove, and many countries legally require a qualified chimney sweep for regular inspection; check your local rules and your home insurance before relying only on DIY cleaning. Only sweep a cold flue, with the fire out for at least 24 hours. Treat all ash as hot: an ash vacuum or metal bucket is for cold ash, and embers can stay alive for days. Roof work for a chimney cap needs proper fall protection, or a professional. Keep a carbon monoxide alarm near any room with a fire.

Chimney sweep kits, 7–12 m (53–70 €)

All three work the same way: 1 m flexible nylon rods (12 mm thick) click together with spring-button locks, a brush head goes on the end and you push it up the flue from the fireplace or stove opening, bottom-up, so you do not have to climb onto the roof. VEVOR says the rods bend through 90° turns, and each kit has a plastic swivel connector between rods and brush plus safety goggles. Buy the kit that covers your full flue height, measured from the opening to the top of the chimney; you can always leave rods out.

  • 7 m kit, dual brush heads (52,99 €): two brush heads, one with soft nylon and one with stiff steel wire bristles, on an aluminium-alloy base; 1.9 kg. VEVOR lists it for square, rectangular and arched chimneys. Enough for most single-storey houses and stove pipes.
  • 10 m kit, nylon brush + spare bristles (56,99 €): a rectangular nylon-bristle head with replacement bristles, for square and rectangular flues; 2.4 kg. Only 4,00 € more than the 7 m kit (our arithmetic) for 3 m more reach, but it has no steel wire head: better for liners and regular light cleaning than for heavy, baked-on creosote.
  • 12 m kit, dual brush heads (69,90 €): the 7 m kit’s nylon and steel wire heads with 12 rods, 2.7 kg. VEVOR describes the steel head for tough buildup and the nylon one for everyday soot. 16,91 € more than the 7 m kit (our arithmetic); the one for two-storey houses.

Steel or nylon? Steel wire bristles scrub harder but can scratch stainless and enamelled liners; nylon is gentler. If your stove or fireplace has a metal liner, check the liner maker’s advice and use the nylon head.

Ash vacuums and the ash bucket (42–59 €)

A normal household vacuum is the wrong tool for fireplace ash: fine ash clogs its filter and blows back into the room, and a hidden ember can start a fire inside a plastic bin. An ash vacuum has a steel tank and a metal hose. Both VEVOR models below use a two-stage filter, a flame-retardant outer bag for coarse ash plus an inner HEPA filter for fine dust, and run on 220–240 V. They are for cold ash only.

  • Ash vacuum 15 L, 1200 W (50,99 €): 2.9 kg, 0.8 m flexible metal hose, 285 × 290 × 350 mm. Compact enough to live next to the stove.
  • Ash vacuum 20 L, 1200 W, casters (58,99 €): the same motor and filtration with a bigger 20 L tank, casters, a longer 1.2 m metal hose and a 2 m cord; 3.65 kg. 8,00 € more than the 15 L model (our arithmetic); worth it for a pellet stove or daily fires.
  • Ash bucket 15 L, 4 pcs (41,90 €): powder-coated carbon steel bucket with lid, plus a shovel, brush and heatproof gloves; VEVOR lists a double heat insulation design. A lidded metal bucket on a non-flammable floor, outside the house, is the classic safe way to let ash cool for a few days before it goes in the bin or garden.

Chimney caps (35–63 €)

A cap keeps rain, snow, leaves and nesting birds out of the flue, and a mesh cap also stops sparks from landing on the roof. Measure your flue before buying: the outside size of the clay flue tile for a square cap, or the outer diameter of the pipe for a round one.

  • Round rain cap, 150 mm (34,90 €): 304 stainless steel, a 300 mm conical rain hood on a 150 mm collar, fixed with expansion screws; 0.7 kg. In VEVOR’s Q&A, the seller gives its inner diameter as 150 mm, so it slides over a 150 mm pipe. For stove and twin-wall flue pipes.
  • Square chimney cap with mesh, 304.8 × 304.8 mm (62,99 €): 304 stainless steel, mesh sides, pre-drilled holes and fixing hardware; 416 × 416 × 250 mm overall, 2.55 kg. VEVOR says it fits outside a clay flue tile of 12 × 12″ (304.8 mm).

Fireplace screens, tools and a log grate (40–97 €)

An open fireplace throws sparks. A free-standing iron mesh screen in front of it keeps embers off the floor and adds a barrier for children and pets; measure the width of your fireplace opening first. Neither screen is a substitute for supervising the fire.

  • 3-panel fireplace screen, 122 cm (55,90 €): black iron mesh, 122 × 76.7 cm, folds flat, no assembly, 3.15 kg. The angled side panels wrap around a wide opening.
  • 1-panel screen with magnetic doors, 990 mm (96,90 €): 990 × 780 mm, 4.3 kg, with magnetic doors and a heat-resistant handle so you can add logs without moving the screen. 41,00 € more than the 3-panel screen (our arithmetic).
  • 5-piece fireplace tool set (39,90 €): wrought iron poker, tongs, ash shovel and brush on a five-prong stand, 810 mm tall, 4.63 kg.
  • 27″ log grate (71,90 €): powder-coated steel, 12 curved bars (6 × 20 mm) on 6 legs, 7.1 kg. Lifting the logs off the hearth lets air in underneath, which VEVOR says helps the fire burn. Check that 27″ (about 69 cm) fits your firebox; it also works in an outdoor fire pit.

FAQ

How long should a chimney sweep kit be?
At least the full height of the flue, from the fireplace or stove opening to the top of the chimney. With 1 m rods, the 7 m kit (52,99 €) suits most single-storey houses and the 12 m kit (69,90 €) most two-storey ones.

Can I clean my chimney myself?
You can sweep a cold flue yourself from the bottom up with a rod kit like these. Many countries still require regular inspection by a qualified chimney sweep, and insurers may ask for proof, so check local rules first.

Can I use an ash vacuum on warm ash?
No. Use it only on cold ash; embers can stay alive for days. Let ash cool in a lidded metal bucket first.

Which chimney cap fits my chimney?
Measure first. The round cap fits over a 150 mm pipe (VEVOR gives its inner diameter as 150 mm). The square mesh cap is listed for a 304.8 × 304.8 mm (12 × 12″) flue tile.

Is shipping free to Romania?
Yes, all 12 picks showed free shipping, free returns and Romania as the delivery country on November 3, 2026.
