EU store, euro prices. All links go to eur.vevor.com, VEVOR’s European store. Prices are in euros, VAT included, exactly as the store showed them on November 4, 2026 (re-checked right before publishing), with Romania as the delivery country. Every product we link showed “In Stock” and no time-limited deal. Nine of the 11 picks ship free; the two big 2″ belt grinders showed a 40,00 € shipping fee. Prices change; the store price at checkout is the one that counts.
“Sander” covers machines that do very different jobs. A random orbital sander finishes flat surfaces; a belt sander removes stock fast; a belt/disc combo squares ends and shapes small parts on the bench; a spindle sander smooths inside curves; and a belt grinder (the 1×30 and 2×72 machines knife makers use) grinds and shapes metal. On November 4, 2026 we went through VEVOR’s EU sander listings and kept 11 picks, from 33,99 € to 846,90 €: three random orbital sanders, a handheld/benchtop belt sander, two belt/disc combos, two oscillating spindle sanders and three belt grinders with variable speed. Anything on a countdown deal, with limited stock or out of stock was left out.
Quick rule: finishing a tabletop or a door, get an orbital sander. Flattening rough boards, a belt sander. Shaping small wooden parts and squaring ends, a belt/disc combo. Curves cut on a band saw or scroll saw, a spindle sander. Knives, bevels and metal, a belt grinder, and 2″-wide belts (2×72 or 2×82) if you are serious, because that is where the belt choice is widest.
Safety first. Wear eye protection and a dust mask (FFP2 or better) and connect a vacuum or dust extractor: fine wood dust is a health hazard and some hardwood dusts are worse. Never sand wood and grind steel on the same machine without cleaning it out: hot steel sparks can ignite wood dust in the bag or extractor. On a bench sander or grinder, work on the down-running side of the belt or disc and hold small parts with a clamp or pliers, not your fingertips. No gloves, loose sleeves or long hair near a moving belt. Steel gets hot fast on a belt grinder; keep a water pot to dip the work.

What the numbers mean
- Pad size (orbital sanders, 127 or 152 mm, i.e. 5 or 6″): a 152 mm pad covers big panels faster; 127 mm discs are cheaper and easier to find. Check the hole pattern of the discs you buy.
- Orbit: the 152 mm brushless model lists a 6 mm eccentricity. A bigger orbit removes more, a smaller one leaves a finer finish.
- Brushless vs brushed: a brushless motor has no carbon brushes to wear and usually runs cooler. Two of the three orbital picks are brushless.
- Belt size is length × width. 1×30″ (25 × 762 mm) is a small hobby size; 4×36″ is the classic bench combo belt; 2×72″ (50.8 × 1828.8 mm) is the knife-making standard with the widest choice of ceramic and zirconia belts. 2×82″ belts exist but are less common, so check you can buy them locally.
- VFD (variable frequency drive): stepless speed control. Slow for heat-sensitive finishing and polishing, fast for hogging off steel.
- Oscillation stroke (16 mm on both spindle sanders): the spindle moves up and down while it turns, so the sleeve wears evenly and does not burn lines into the wood.
Orbital and belt sanders (34–117 €)
- 127 mm random orbital sander, 250 W (33,99 €, free shipping): the cheapest way into proper sanding: 6 speeds from 6000 to 12000 RPM, 1.53 kg, and 16 discs from 60 to 1000 grit in the box. The spec list says brushed motor (one line in the description says brushless; we go by the spec list). Fine for furniture refinishing and DIY.
- 152 mm brushless random orbital sander, 400 W (111,99 €, free shipping): more power, a brushless motor and a bigger pad: 7 speeds from 4000 to 10000 RPM, 6 mm orbit, 1.85 kg, dust bag and vacuum hose, 10 discs. 78,00 € more than the 127 mm model (our arithmetic).
- 127 + 152 mm brushless orbital sander, 400 W (116,99 €, free shipping): the same 400 W brushless sander with both pad sizes and 20 discs from 80 to 320 grit, for only 5,00 € more than the single-pad version (our arithmetic). Our value pick.
- 76 × 533 mm belt sander, 750 W (57,99 €, free shipping): a 3×21″ belt sander with 6 speeds (630–1200 feet per minute) for flattening boards and stripping old finishes fast. It comes with two clamps so you can fix it upside down on the bench as a small stationary sander, plus two dust bags and 10 belts; 3.98 kg.

Belt/disc combos and spindle sanders (96–182 €)
Bench sanders bring the wood to the abrasive. All four ship free and have a dust port for a vacuum or extractor.
- MM2180 belt/disc combo, 250 W (95,90 €, free shipping): a compact combo with a 125 mm disc (2980 RPM) and a narrow 25 × 762 mm belt, plus a disc table that tilts 0–45°. The narrow belt reaches into small inside curves; good for models, small parts and sharpening garden tools.
- BSH1510C belt/disc combo, 400 W (138,90 €, free shipping): the classic workshop size: 152.4 mm disc and a 101.6 × 914.4 mm (4×36″) belt that tilts from horizontal to vertical (0–90°), a 0–45° disc table and 14.8 kg to keep it steady. 43,00 € more than the MM2180 (our arithmetic) for a much bigger belt and more power.
- BOSS200 oscillating spindle sander (155,90 €, free shipping): for curves: six sleeves from 12.7 to 76.2 mm (1/2 to 3″), 2000 RPM, a 16 mm oscillation, a 390 × 415 mm cast iron table that tilts to 45° and a 57.5 mm dust port; 17 kg. VEVOR lists 220 V/50 Hz.
- BOSS200A belt + spindle sander (181,90 €, free shipping): the same idea with five sleeves up to 50.8 mm plus a 610 × 98 mm oscillating belt for outside curves and straight edges, on a 410 × 430 mm tilting table. 26,00 € more than the BOSS200 (our arithmetic); you lose the 76.2 mm sleeve and its dust port is smaller (35 mm).

Belt grinders for knives and metal (217–847 €)
All three have a variable frequency drive for stepless speed and are listed for 220 V, as VEVOR confirms in each page’s Q&A or spec list. Use them for metal; do not share them with wood dust.
- 1×30″ belt grinder with VFD, 550 W (216,90 €, free shipping): a bench-sized grinder (7.9 kg) with a 5500 RPM motor, variable speed and two grinding modes: on the flat platen and on the contact wheel. Good for sharpening, small knives and deburring; the 25 mm belt is narrow for flat-grinding big blades. VEVOR answers in the Q&A that it suits 220–240 V 50 Hz.
- 2×72″ belt grinder with VFD, 1500 W (817,90 € + 40,00 € shipping = 857,90 €, our arithmetic): the knife-maker’s format: a 2×72″ belt, 1500 W (2 HP) motor at 2900 RPM with stepless VFD speed and three grinding modes (flat, contact wheel and arc), on a welded steel base. It weighs 50.25 kg, so plan a solid bench. VEVOR confirms in the Q&A that it is 220 V single phase.
- 2×82″ belt grinder with VFD, 1.5 kW (846,90 € + 40,00 € shipping = 886,90 €, our arithmetic): a 1.5 kW (2 HP) machine whose VFD converts single-phase power to drive a three-phase motor at 0–2800 r/min. It has a 305 mm (12″) rubber contact wheel for hollow grinding, a flat aluminium platen and smaller aluminium wheels. Only 29,00 € more than the 2×72 (our arithmetic), but 2×82 belts are harder to find than 2×72.

Sensible combinations (our arithmetic)
- DIY starter: 127 mm orbital sander + 750 W belt sander = 91,98 €, both free shipping.
- Small woodworking bench: BSH1510C belt/disc combo + 152 mm brushless orbital = 250,89 €.
- Furniture and curved parts: two-pad orbital sander + BOSS200 spindle sander = 272,89 €.
- First knife grinder: the 1×30″ VFD grinder at 216,90 € is 121,00 € more than the MM2180 combo, which also has a 1×30″ belt but no speed control and a lighter build. Moving up to a 2×72 costs 857,90 € delivered.
What we left out
- Four listings on countdown deals ending later in November: an 850 W dual-action orbital sander, two spindle sanders and a 76 × 2007 mm belt grinder.

FAQ
Which sander should I buy first?
For most people a random orbital sander: it does furniture, doors and panels and leaves a clean finish. Add a belt sander or a bench combo when you need to remove a lot of wood or shape small parts.
5″ or 6″ (127 or 152 mm) orbital sander?
152 mm covers big surfaces faster; 127 mm is lighter and its discs are cheaper. On November 4, 2026 VEVOR’s 400 W brushless model with both pads cost only 5,00 € more than the 152 mm-only version.
Why is 2×72″ the knife-making standard?
The 2″ width is wide enough for flat-grinding blade bevels, and 72″ belts are sold in the widest range of grits and abrasives. 1×30″ machines are fine for sharpening and small work.
Can I grind metal on a wood sander?
Not safely without cleaning: sparks from steel can ignite wood dust in the dust bag or extractor. Keep one machine for metal or clean it out thoroughly first.
Is shipping free to Romania?
Nine of the 11 picks showed free shipping on November 4, 2026; the 2×72″ and 2×82″ grinders showed 40,00 €.
