VEVOR Vinyl Cutter Buying Guide (2026): 305 mm Craft Cutters vs 28, 34 and 53 Inch Plotters, Feed vs Cut Width, Optical Eye, Euro Prices

Affiliate disclosure: this post contains affiliate links to VEVOR’s European store (via Awin). If you buy through them, SiftGuide may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Every price and spec below comes from VEVOR’s own product pages, product Q&A answers signed “By vevor” and store policies, checked on October 26, 2026. We have not tested these cutters; specs and claims are as listed by the seller. Figures marked “our arithmetic” are our own calculations, and translations of non-English answers are ours.

EU store, ships in Europe. All links go to eur.vevor.com, VEVOR’s European store. Prices are in euros, exactly as the store showed them, with the store’s default delivery country (Ireland) selected. They can change with your delivery country and with VEVOR’s sales, so the checkout price is the one that counts. Each linked product page said “FREE Shipping Excludes remote areas.” The deal pages also said “VAT included”; prices for consumers in the EU normally include VAT.

A vinyl cutter (or cutting plotter) drives a small drag knife over a sheet or roll of vinyl to cut letters, logos and stickers; you then weed away the waste and apply the design, or press heat transfer vinyl onto a shirt. VEVOR sells two quite different kinds: 305 mm craft cutters that work from a phone or laptop with built-in design libraries, and sign-making plotters (375 mm to 1350 mm feed) that run SignMaster on a Windows PC. The numbers that matter are the real cutting width (always smaller than the feed width), whether the machine can read registration marks for print-and-cut stickers, and which computer it works with. We compared 11 VEVOR cutters that were in stock on the EU store on October 26, 2026, from 173,90 € to 388,90 €.

Three listings showed a time-limited deal (“Deal ends Oct 31”). Several pages also offer bigger sizes of the same machine at a higher price (listed under each pick). We left out a heat press + 28 in cutter bundle at 479,90 €: its page showed “10,00 € Shipping Fees” instead of free shipping and lists “Rated Voltage: 110V” (Europe uses 230 V), and it says “Not compatible with the Mac system.” We also left out star ratings, which are not specific enough to compare models.

Feed width is not cut width

Plotters are sold by feed width (how wide a roll fits between the pinch rollers), but the knife can only travel part of that. On VEVOR’s own spec lists the gap is 90 mm on the 375, 720, 870 and 1350 mm machines (285, 630, 780 and 1260 mm cut) and 120 mm on the two edge-detection models (450 mm feed and 330 mm cut; 720 mm feed and 600 mm cut), all our arithmetic. On the KH-720A, VEVOR went further in a Q&A answer on June 28, 2026: “The maximum cutting width for this machine is 720-105 = 615 mm; the 105 mm represents the width of the carriage.” Its spec list says 630 mm.

Rule of thumb (ours): if your largest design is about 60 cm wide, a “28 inch” (720 mm) plotter is the minimum, and the 600–615 mm figures above suggest checking with VEVOR first. The cut length is not the limit on roll machines: for the KH-375A, VEVOR says “The cutting length is unlimited, the material width can be less than 375mm, and the size of A3A4 can be cut.”

Per metre of cutting width, the 53 in KI-1350A works out at about 308,65 € per metre of cut width versus 317,30 € for the basic 28 in plotter (our arithmetic), so the big one is not expensive for its size; it just needs the space and the work.

Optical eye, edge detection or nothing

For print-and-cut stickers (you print a design with registration marks, then the cutter cuts around it) the cutter has to find the marks. The listings differ a lot here:

  • No mark reading: asked whether the basic 28 in plotter reads registration marks (“contour cutting”), VEVOR answered: “No, this one doesn’t support it.” Asked (in Portuguese) whether the 53 in model has a reader for cutting around printed material, VEVOR answered “Olá não.” (“Hello, no.”, our translation). The 34 in basic plotter lists “Positioning: Manual”.
  • Manual contour: the SK-720L with Bluetooth lists “Contour Type: Manual Contour”, even though its summary mentions contour cutting.
  • Optical eye: the KH-375A and KH-720A have a built-in optical eye that VEVOR says “will semi-automatically and accurately scan all kinds of marks”.
  • Automatic edge detection: the TT-450 and EH-720TS say they are “Equipped with excellent automatic edge detection”; the dual-blade SK-720L lists “contour detection”.

The optical-eye KH-720A costs 78,00 € more than the basic 28 in plotter (our arithmetic), and that is roughly the price of being able to cut printed stickers instead of only plain vinyl lettering.

Craft cutter or SignMaster plotter: which computer

  • 305 mm craft cutters (smart2, smart4): the listings say they work with “Mac, Windows, Android 5.1 and higher, and iOS 11.0 and higher” and connect “via a USB cable, Bluetooth, or direct access to a USB drive”. They import PNG, JPG, SVG and TIF, “cut, write/draw, and score”, and come with design software and a built-in design library, so there is no SignMaster licence to manage. The machine runs from a 48 W adapter.
  • SignMaster plotters (KH, KZJ, KI series): these list Windows (“Our product software supports all Windows systems.”) and connect by USB and a COM (serial) port. The included SignMaster is activated with a licence key; when a buyer lost the old computer, VEVOR said to “contact SignMaster (Future Corporation) support and provide your PSN/license key” to reset or transfer it. Keep that key safe. The basic 28 in plotter also works with CorelDRAW according to VEVOR, the EH-720TS with SignCut, and the Bluetooth SK-720L lists Signmaster, Signcut, ARTCUT, Graph-Cut and Coreldraw.
  • Mac users: among the plotters, only the dual-blade SK-720L lists “Windows 7-11 and macOS”. The Bluetooth SK-720L pairs with an Android app but its PC software list is Windows XP to 11.

Paper, cardboard and thickness

The plotters are built for self-adhesive vinyl and transfer film on a roll. On the KH-375A, VEVOR answered: “It cannot cut cardboard. For cutting paper, it is recommended to use a cutting mat.” On the basic 28 in plotter, the maximum material thickness is “1mm.” (Q&A), and the edge-detection models list “≤0.04" / 1mm”. The KH-375A and KH-720A spec lists say “Max Cutting Thickness: 0.12 in / 3 mm”, but see the KH-720A paper answer below; for card making and paper crafts, the 305 mm craft cutters (which also score and draw) are the more natural fit (our suggestion).

Read the listing twice

Several listings contradict themselves. We report both versions so you can ask VEVOR before you buy:

  • KH-720A and paper: the description says it cuts “including paper, cardstock, vinyl, and fabric”, but a VEVOR answer from October 20, 2024 says “This device cannot cut paper.”
  • KH-720A width and memory: spec list 630 mm and “Buffer: 1-4M”; the June 28, 2026 answer says 615 mm and that data “is sent directly from the computer to the machine and cannot be stored.”
  • Memory on the basic 28 in and 34 in plotters: the short spec box says 16 MB, the full specification says 2 MB.
  • Voltage on the 34 in plotter: the specification says “Voltage: 220 V AC, 60 Hz”; Europe uses 50 Hz, so confirm with VEVOR. (For the Bluetooth SK-720L, VEVOR answered in Danish that it can use a 230 V supply.)
  • Design library on the craft cutters: the titles say “20000+ Built-in Design Resources”, the descriptions say more than 5,000.
