Prices are in euros, exactly as the store showed them, with the store’s default delivery country (Ireland) selected; in a product answer VEVOR says prices shown on the European site include tax. A drain cleaner machine (also called a drain auger, plumber’s snake or sewer snake) spins a steel spring cable with a cutter on the end through a blocked pipe to break up or hook out hair, grease, paper and roots. VEVOR’s EU store sells everything from a 24,90 € hand auger to drum machines that weigh over 20 kg. We picked the 9 listings that were in stock and showed free shipping on October 29, 2026, from 24,90 € to 310,90 €. The choice comes down to four things: the pipe size, how far away the blockage is, whether you feed the cable by hand or let the machine do it, and how much weight you can carry to the job.

Sorted by price. Specs as listed by VEVOR; “not listed” means the page does not say. Feet and inch conversions in brackets are our arithmetic. “Shared” means the star rating is pooled across several variants of the listing (for example, the three GQ-100 machines show the same 76 reviews), so it does not describe the exact model you pick.

Hand auger, box, sectional or drum?
- Hand auger (24,90 € / 27,90 €). A 7.62 m spring in a plastic drum with a handle. You crank it, or fit the drill adapter and let a cordless drill turn it. For hair and soap in a shower, bath, basin or kitchen sink trap, try this first. The auto-feed version is only 3,00 € more (our arithmetic); VEVOR says “the auger feeds itself into the drain”.
- Box machines (GQ-100 series). A motor in a compact case turns separate lengths of steel spring cable. The GQ-100A comes with three cables (12 m x 16 mm, 4.5 m x 16 mm and 8 m x 9.5 mm, 24.5 m in total), six cutters and forward/reverse, for 50–110 mm pipes.
- Sectional machines. VEVOR’s 250 W model comes as a “Sectional” unit on a stand or as a “Box” unit on wheels, both with 66 ft x 5/8″ and 15 ft x 3/8″ cables (about 20 m and 4.6 m, our arithmetic) and seven quick-change cutters. Short sections are easier to carry and clean than one long cable.
- Drum machines. The cable lives coiled in a drum and is fed out through the front. The RC-9002L feeds itself; the D1000 is fed by hand. Both have an air-activated foot switch, so your hands stay on the cable while you start and stop the motor.

Pipe size, cable thickness and length
Thickness follows pipe size. A thin cable can turn tight bends in small pipes; a thick cable has the stiffness to push through a long run and cut roots in bigger pipes. The hand augers use a 6 mm cable and list sinks, showers and floor drains. The machines here list 50 to 100 or 110 mm pipes (2 to 4″); the 250 W sectional title starts at 1.6″. For a soil stack or a 150 mm+ outside sewer you need a bigger machine than any of these, and the bigger ones on the store did not show free shipping (see below).
Length. Measure from where you can get in (a trap, rodding eye or inspection chamber) to the likely blockage, and add a few metres. The GQ-100B and GQ-100D give 25.4 m, the GQ-100A 24.5 m, the 250 W sectional and box about 20 m plus a 4.6 m small cable, and the two drum machines 15 m. On the GQ-100D, asked in Hungarian whether a thicker 22 mm spring can be used instead of the 16 mm one, VEVOR answered: “22 mm springs cannot be used” (our translation).
Not sure where the blockage is? Look first. Our VEVOR sewer camera buying guide compares 13 inspection cameras with 20 to 100 m cables, so you can see whether you are dealing with grease, roots or a broken pipe before you buy a machine.

Manual feed, auto feed and foot switches
- Manual feed (hand auger, both 250 W models, D1000): you push and pull the spinning cable with gloved hands. More feel for the blockage, more effort.
- Auto feed (RC-2005F auto version, RC-9002L): a mechanism drives the cable in and out for you. VEVOR says the RC-9002L’s open-case drum lets you watch how much cable is out.
- Forward/reverse (CW/CCW) on every electric model here lets you back the cable off when it binds instead of forcing it.
- Foot switch (RC-9002L, D1000): air-activated, so you start and stop the motor with your foot while both hands stay on the cable. That matters, because a cable that catches can kink or twist.

Read the listing twice
A few things on these pages are easy to miss:
- Options without a price. On the GQ-100A page, the 400 W, 500 W and 850 W options showed “See available options” instead of a price, although the GQ-100B (400 W) and GQ-100D (500 W) had their own in-stock pages. Use the links below rather than the selector.
- Shipping is not always free. The 850 W GQ-150 (278,90 €, 50–200 mm pipes) and the bigger 30 m auto-feed drum machines showed “10,00 € Shipping Fees” for Ireland on October 29, 2026, so we left them out. Of the 54 drain cleaner machine listings in VEVOR’s product feed that day, 22 showed as out of stock, and a few in-stock ones had a running deal; we left those out too.
- Reviews are pooled. The RC-9002L page shows 355 reviews, but they include other variants: a Spanish buyer of a 30.5 m x 9.5 mm version says it arrived with the cable tangled and was refunded (our translation).
- Check the box on delivery. A French buyer of the 250 W Box model says the cleaning coil was missing; VEVOR offered a refund or a replacement (our translation). Asked in Hungarian what is included, VEVOR said the machine comes with accessories such as the spring and the cutter heads, and that it does not offer cash on delivery.
Who each machine is for
VEVOR RC-2005F hand auger / auto feed: 24,90 € / 27,90 €
For: slow showers, baths and basins: 7.62 m of 6 mm spring, crank or drill, 1.4 to 1.7 kg, with a protective hose and gloves. The manual version shows a “Best Seller in Plumbing” badge. Skip if: the blockage is past the trap in a 100 mm pipe or the toilet waste.
VEVOR GQ-100A, 390 W: 128,90 €
For: the cheapest electric machine here, for kitchen and bathroom waste pipes and 50–110 mm lines: 24.5 m of cable in three lengths, six cutters, forward/reverse, 19.55 kg. It shows “#3 Best Seller in Plumbing”; a buyer in Romania calls it “easy to use, robust, I solved the problem” (our translation). Skip if: you need more than 24.5 m.
VEVOR GQ-100B, 400 W / GQ-100D, 500 W: 170,90 € / 178,90 €
For: longer runs: 20 m of 16 mm cable plus a 5 m small cable (25.4 m listed). The 500 W GQ-100D costs only 8,00 € more than the 400 W (our arithmetic) and adds two cutters (8 instead of 6), so it is the better buy of the two. A Dutch buyer says he used to rent a spring every year for his 70 mm drain and bought the GQ-100D to always have one at hand; “it works perfectly” (our translation). Skip if: you have to carry it far: 23 to 24.8 kg.

VEVOR 250 W sectional / 250 W Box: 177,90 € / 193,90 €
For: the best-rated pair here (4.5 from 127 and 4.6 from 178 reviews), with 20 m of 5/8″ cable, a 4.6 m small cable and seven cutters. The Box version is 16,00 € more (our arithmetic) and 2.75 kg heavier (22.4 vs 19.65 kg, our arithmetic). A Dutch buyer of the Box calls it very professional and robust but “quite heavy; I need a hand truck” (our translation). Skip if: you want auto feed or a foot switch.
VEVOR RC-9002L auto-feed drum: 276,90 €
For: regular use in 50–100 mm pipes where you want the machine to feed the cable: 15 m x 8 mm, four cutters, foot switch, open drum. Skip if: you need more than 15 m.
VEVOR D1000 drum, 250 W: 310,90 €
For: roots and heavier blockages in 2–4″ pipes: a 3/8″ solid-core cable, foot switch and open drum. It costs 34,00 € more than the RC-9002L (our arithmetic) but is fed by hand. A buyer in Australia cleared a drain blocked with tree roots and warns: “Need to be careful if your glove gets caught in it. Only use the gloves that come with it or something similar.” Skip if: you want auto feed.

Safety
- Wear the supplied gloves (not loose or fabric gloves) and eye protection, and keep sleeves and hair away from the turning cable.
- Never force a cable that has stopped turning: release the switch, reverse, then try again. A trapped cable stores energy and can kink or whip.
- Do not pour chemical drain cleaner into a drain you are about to snake; it can splash back off the cable.
- Electric machines need a dry, protected (RCD) socket. If the blockage is under a public road or in a shared sewer, call your water company or a drainage contractor.
Shipping, returns and warranty
- Shipping: all 9 pages showed “FREE Shipping” and “Get it Sun. Nov. 1 – Fri. Nov. 6” for Ireland on October 29, 2026. The shipping policy says products are currently “free shipping, except in some remote areas.” Larger machines can carry a shipping fee, as noted above.
- Returns and warranty: “All our products come with a 12-months warranty and can be returned for free within 30 days of delivery for approved reasons!”

FAQ
Which VEVOR drain cleaner is cheapest?
The RC-2005F hand auger at 24,90 € (auto feed 27,90 €). The cheapest electric machine is the GQ-100A at 128,90 €. Prices as shown on the EU store on October 29, 2026, delivery set to Ireland.
Hand auger or electric machine?
A hand auger is enough for hair and soap in sinks, showers and baths near the trap. For 50 to 110 mm pipes, longer runs, grease build-up or roots, an electric machine with a thicker cable and several cutters does the work for you.
Sectional or drum?
Sectional and box machines use separate cable lengths you join as you go: easier to carry and clean, and you only use as much as you need. Drum machines keep one long cable coiled in a drum, which is cleaner to handle and allows auto feed and a foot switch.
What pipe sizes do these machines handle?
As listed: 50 to 110 mm for the GQ-100 series, 50 to 100 mm (2 to 4″) for the drum machines and 1.6 to 4″ for the 250 W sectional. The hand auger is for sink, shower and bath drains.
Can these clear tree roots?
The machines come with several cutters for different blockages, and a D1000 buyer reports clearing a drain blocked with tree roots. Roots usually mean a cracked or open joint, so look with a camera afterwards.
