Buying a VEVOR air compressor on the EU store usually means one of two jobs: shop air for nailers, spray guns and tyre work (oil-free tank compressors), or PCP / paintball fills at up to 4500 PSI. On November 5, 2026 we went through the air-compressor listings and kept 13 in-stock picks from 147,90 € to 293,90 €: three oil-free tank compressors (30 L / 50 L / 49.2 L) and ten PCP high-pressure pumps (250–1800 W, manual or auto-stop, external or built-in converter). Out-of-stock and “Almost sold out” scuba units were left out. This is separate from our 12V tire-inflator guide — those are car portable pumps, not shop tanks or PCP fills.
Quick rule: nailers and light spray work, a 30–50 L oil-free vertical tank (same 1.5 kW / 4 SCFM motor on both; the 30 L lists a higher max pressure). PCP airguns or paintball, start with a 250–300 W portable that matches your stop style (manual vs auto) and converter (built-in vs external brick). Workshop PCP fills, look at the 1800 W water-cooled pair — oil and an external water tank are sold separately. Watch the price traps below: a bigger tank is not always a higher max pressure, and an external-converter listing can cost more than a built-in one.
Safety first. Shop compressors store energy in a pressure vessel: drain condensate, keep the relief valve clear, and never exceed the rated max pressure. PCP / paintball pumps push 4500 PSI — use rated hoses and cylinders only, wear eye protection, and never leave a fill unattended on a manual-stop unit. The 1800 W water-cooled models need lubricating oil (ISO VG46) before first start and a separate cooling water tank; running dry can destroy the pump (VEVOR’s own warning). Scuba / diving fills need an external air filter where the listing says so. Always follow the seller’s warnings on each product page.

All claim 4500 PSI / 30 MPa for airguns and paintball. Converter style (built-in vs external brick) and stop style (manual vs auto) drive most of the price spread.

Price traps
30 L vs 50 L shop tanks. Both list the same 1.5 kW motor and 4 SCFM at 90 PSI. The 50 L costs 24,00 € more than the 30 L (our arithmetic) but its max working pressure is 8 Bar vs 10 Bar on the smaller tank. Buy the 50 L for more stored volume; do not assume it is the higher-pressure unit.
External converter that costs more. On November 5, 2026 the 250 W external-converter manual was 153,99 € while the 250 W built-in + fan manual was 148,90 € — 5,09 € more (our arithmetic) for the external brick and without the built-in converter convenience. Prefer the built-in unless you specifically need that external SKU.
Auto-stop premium on the 0.5 L class. The built-in auto-stop SS-PAC02B was 32,00 € above the external manual SS-PAC01B (our arithmetic). That gap buys auto-stop and a built-in converter — fair if you want set-and-forget fills; skip it if you are fine watching the gauge.
Quiet wheeled tank vs free-shipping vertical. The 13-gallon / 49.2 L wheeled 2 HP lists ≤63 dB and costs 293,90 € plus 40,00 € shipping, while the 50 L vertical is 209,90 € with free shipping. Pay the premium only if the quieter wheeled package matters; otherwise the vertical 50 L is the cheaper delivered shop tank.

FAQ
Is this the same as the tire-inflator guide?
No. The tire-inflator guide covers 12V portable car pumps and jump-starter compressors. This guide covers 230 V oil-free shop tanks and 4500 PSI PCP / paintball compressors.
Do the 1800 W pumps include oil and a water tank?
No. VEVOR notes lubricating oil (ISO VG46) and a cooling water tank are sold separately. Put oil in before first start.
Can I fill scuba tanks with the portable PCP units?
Some listings allow it only with an external air filter. Read each product page; these are primarily PCP airgun / paintball pumps.
Why is the 50 L tank more expensive but rated to a lower max pressure than the 30 L?
On November 5, 2026 that was the live spec/price pair (8 Bar vs 10 Bar). The 50 L stores more volume at the same 4 SCFM motor rating; it is not a higher-pressure machine.
