VEVOR Countertop Ice Maker Buying Guide (2026): Bullet vs Cube vs Nugget, Daily Output vs Bin Size, Euro Prices

A countertop ice maker is not a small freezer. It pumps water from a small tank over cold metal prongs, drops a batch of ice into a basket every few minutes, and when the basket is full it stops. The basket is insulated but not refrigerated, so ice slowly melts back into the tank. That is why the two numbers on every listing, ice per day and ice storage, matter more than the brand. We compared the four VEVOR countertop ice makers that were in stock on the EU store on October 26, 2026, from 82,90 € to 295,90 €: a small bullet-ice machine, a 24-cube stainless model, a nugget-ice machine and a 3-in-1 water dispenser.

The 4 VEVOR countertop ice makers at a glance

Batch times on the listings: 6-12 minutes (BS-004), 15 minutes for 24 cubes (HZB-20AF/S), 7-10 minutes (BS-303) and 7 minutes for 12 cubes (BS-101). Noise as listed: ≤58 dB, ≤42 dB, ≤55 dB; the BS-101 spec list gives no figure. None of the four had customer reviews on the EU store when we checked. Two more VEVOR listings were out of stock that day, so we left them out: a 9-cube, 26 lbs/day bullet model and a commercial 36 kg/24 h machine with 6 kg storage.

The catch: daily output is not ice in the basket

“11.8 kg per day” sounds like a party’s worth of ice, but it is spread over 24 hours: about 0,49 kg an hour, and the BS-004 basket holds 0.45 kg. Divide the basket by the hourly rate and you get roughly how long each machine takes to fill its basket from empty (our arithmetic, at the listed daily rate):

Bullet, cube or nugget ice

Bullet ice (BS-004, BS-101) is the hollow, finger-shaped ice most small machines make; the BS-004 offers two sizes and the BS-101 can also give crushed ice. Cube ice from the HZB-20AF/S comes 24 at a time in three sizes. Nugget ice from the BS-303 is the soft, chewable kind; VEVOR says it “cools drinks fast, melts moderately”. It is the priciest single-purpose machine here: 170,00 € more than the BS-004 (our arithmetic).

Water tank, water line and cleaning

• Refills: the BS-004 has an 830 ml tank and the BS-303 0.8 L, so expect to top them up often on a busy day. The HZB-20AF/S has 3.2 L and the BS-101 2.6 L.
• Water line: only the BS-303 (“manual filling and direct tap water connection”) and the BS-101 (“manual filling or connection to a water line”) list a plumbed option. The other two are fill-by-hand.
• Self-cleaning: all four list a cleaning cycle: 12-15 minutes on the BS-004 (hold the power button for 5 seconds), 5 minutes on the BS-303 and BS-101.
• First use: in a Czech-language answer on the BS-004 page, VEVOR says to let the machine stand upright on a flat surface for at least 2 to 4 hours so the refrigerant oil settles, run one cleaning cycle and throw away the first 2 to 3 batches of ice (our translation).
• Power: for the BS-004, VEVOR answered that “the normal power consumption for ice making is approximately 90W, and the peak power does not exceed 165W”. Even running all day that is about 2.16 kWh (our arithmetic). The BS-303 lists 105 W rated power, at most about 2.52 kWh a day. VEVOR also says you “can leave it plugged in, but we recommend unplugging it periodically.” On the HZB-20AF/S page VEVOR answered a 230 V question with “Den er 220V.”

Who each ice maker is for

VEVOR small bullet ice maker (BS-004): 82,90 €

For: a couple or small household that wants ice for drinks on demand: 7 bullet cubes per batch, two sizes, 202 x 291 x 267 mm, 5.5 kg, about 90 W while making ice (VEVOR). Skip if: you host often; the 0.45 kg basket and 830 ml tank mean frequent emptying and refilling.

VEVOR 24-cube stainless ice maker (HZB-20AF/S): 171,90 €

For: the most ice per euro of the four: 45 lbs a day (about 20.4 kg), 24 cubes in 15 minutes, a 1.2 kg basket, a 3.2 L tank and the lowest listed noise (≤42 dB). It costs 89,00 € more than the BS-004 (our arithmetic). Skip if: counter space is tight: 255 x 355 x 385 mm and 10 kg.

VEVOR nugget ice maker, drawer (BS-303): 252,90 €

For: people who specifically want chewable nugget ice, with a pull-out drawer and the option of a tap connection; 15 kg a day, 105 W, ≤55 dB, 8.2 kg. Skip if: you just want lots of normal ice; the HZB-20AF/S makes more for less money, and the BS-303 basket holds only 0.54 kg.

VEVOR 3-in-1 water dispenser with ice maker (BS-101): 295,90 €

For: a kitchen or office that wants cold water too: bullet or crushed ice, 12 pieces in 7 minutes, 16 kg a day, the biggest basket here (1.8 kg) and a water-line option. It costs 43,00 € more than the BS-303 (our arithmetic). Skip if: you want something you can carry to a party; it is 280 x 440 x 480 mm and 13.5 kg.

Shipping, returns and warranty

• Shipping: each product page said “FREE Shipping” and “Get it Thur. Oct. 29 – Tues. Nov. 3” for Ireland on October 26, 2026. The shipping policy lists 2-6 business days of delivery.
• Returns and warranty: “All our products come with a 12-months warranty and can be returned for free within 30 days of delivery for approved reasons!” For change-of-mind returns, “the buyer will bear the cost of return & restock”, so check the size and ice type before you order.

Which VEVOR ice maker is cheapest?
Of the four in stock, the BS-004 bullet ice maker at 82,90 € on the EU store (October 26, 2026, delivery set to Ireland).

Does a countertop ice maker keep ice frozen?
No. The basket is insulated but not a freezer, and melted ice goes back into the water tank. VEVOR: “The ice maker is not the same as a standard refrigerator”. Move ice you want to keep into your freezer.

How long until the basket is full?
Roughly 55 minutes on the BS-004, 85 minutes on the HZB-20AF/S, 52 minutes on the BS-303 and 2 h 40 min on the BS-101, from empty at the listed daily rate (our arithmetic).

Which one makes nugget ice?
The BS-303, at 252,90 €. The others make bullet ice (BS-004, BS-101, which also does crushed) or cubes (HZB-20AF/S).

Can I connect one to a water line?
The BS-303 and BS-101 list both manual filling and a tap or water-line connection. The BS-004 and HZB-20AF/S are filled by hand.
