VEVOR’s EU store sells two very different kinds of meat slicer under the same name. Home slicers have a 170 or 190 mm blade, a 150 to 200 W motor turning at 60 to 100 RPM, weigh under 4 kg and cost 49,90 € to 71,99 €. Commercial-style slicers have a 200 to 300 mm blade turning at 300 to 450 RPM, a built-in sharpener, weigh 10.6 to 21 kg and cost 212,99 € to 362,99 €. Nothing in stock sat between the two on October 28, 2026. We compared all 13 listings that were in stock that day, and found a few spec sheets you should read twice.

Five more listings were out of stock on the day and are left out. Star ratings are not compared: most of these pages share one review pool across several sizes (for example, four commercial listings all show the same 514 reviews at 4.6 out of 5, and three of the home slicers share 70 reviews at 4.4), so the stars do not tell you about the exact model you pick.

Home or commercial: what actually changes
- Blade speed. The home slicers turn their blade at 60 to 100 RPM; the commercial ones at 300 to 450 RPM. A slow blade is fine for a ham or a salami at the weekend; a fast blade with a heavy carriage is what you want for a whole roast, frozen meat for hot pot or a cheese wheel.
- Weight and space. The cheapest home slicer weighs 1.85 kg and folds up; VEVOR says it can be “folded, standing, or hanging” in a drawer, cabinet or on the wall. The 300 mm SY-300A weighs 21 kg, about 11 times as much (our arithmetic), and needs its own spot on the counter.
- Grip on the counter. Home slicers rely on rubber suction feet; a buyer in Croatia says of the SL-5242M23C: “Great suction cups below so you dont slip.” Commercial slicers stay put by weight and rubber feet.
- Build. The SY-250A, SY-300A and JK-220A are aluminium alloy, and the 250B is die-cast aluminium. The cheaper SY-220JA and SY-250JA use what VEVOR calls a “new plastic exterior that is lighter than aluminum alloy”, which is why they weigh 10.6 and 11.3 kg instead of 15 kg or more.
- Price. The cheapest commercial slicer here, the SY-250JA at 216,99 €, costs about 4.3 times as much as the cheapest home slicer (our arithmetic). The gap is real: nothing in stock sat between 71,99 € and 212,99 €.

Blade size, blade type and sharpening
Size. The blade diameter limits how big a piece you can slice in one pass. A 170 or 190 mm home blade suits salami, ham, a small roast and bread; a 250 or 300 mm blade takes a whole boneless ham or a large roast. If you mostly slice cured sausage, a bigger blade buys you little.
Serrated or smooth. Serrated blades grip bread and crusty food; smooth blades give cleaner slices of meat and cheese. The SL517 (62,99 €) comes with “one 170 mm (6.5 in) serrated stainless steel blade and one 170 mm (6.5 in) smooth stainless steel blade”, and the SL-520A (71,99 €) with a 190 mm serrated and a non-serrated blade. The SL520 has the serrated blade only and is 4,00 € cheaper than the SL-520A (our arithmetic). A buyer in France likes the two-blade SL-520A for bread with the serrated blade and ham or saucisson with the other, but warns that “le moyeu est en plastique” (the blade hub is plastic, our translation), so tighten the blade with care.
Carbon or stainless steel. Most commercial models here have carbon steel blades; VEVOR says the JK-220A blade “is made of 45 carbon steel with a chrome plated finish”. The 1A-CS110 has a SUS420 stainless blade, as do the SL520 home slicers. Carbon steel takes a keen edge but should be dried right after washing.
Sharpening. Every commercial listing here mentions a built-in sharpener or sharpening stone. The home listings do not list one in their features, although VEVOR’s Q&A answer on the SL520 says to “Place the blade against the built-in sharpening stone”; check the photos of the exact model if this matters to you.

Slice thickness: 0–10, 0–12 or 0–15 mm
All slicers go down to paper-thin, so the top of the range is what differs. Every home slicer here goes to 15 mm. Among the commercial ones, the SY-220JA, SY-250JA, SY-250A and JK-220A stop at 12 mm, the 250B at only 10 mm, and the two SY-300A listings and the 1A-CS110 reach 15 mm. A US buyer of the SY-220JA, in a review shown on several of these pages, says it “only goes to 12mm” and advises: “Dont’t try it on stiff bread”. If you want thick steaks or sandwich bread slices, pick a 15 mm model. Asked whether the 400 W SY-300A can slice fresh bread, VEVOR answered in Danish: “Dette anbefales ikke” (this is not recommended, our translation).

Read the listing twice
Several listings are confusing or contradict each other. We report what we found so you can ask VEVOR before you buy:
- 340 W or 180 W? The 1A-CS110 (360,90 €) is sold as “340W” in its title, spec table and features, but its description says it “is equipped with a high-efficiency 180W motor”. Its spec sheet gives two speeds, “(US) 400-500 RPM,(EU) 360 RPM”, so the EU version is the slower one. It also weighs the same 14.3 kg as the 8 in JK-220A.
- Two different slicers called SY-300A. One listing is 320 W, 21 kg, at 318,99 €; another is 400 W, 20.6 kg, “ETL Approved”, at 362,99 €, 44,00 € more (our arithmetic). Both have a 300 mm carbon steel blade, 300-450 RPM and 0-15 mm. Quote the price and wattage, not just the model number, if you contact VEVOR.
- The 8 in costs more than the 10 in. The JK-220A with a 20.3 cm (8 in) blade was 263,90 €, while the SY-250A with a 250 mm (10 in) blade was 247,99 €: 15,91 € less for the bigger blade (our arithmetic). The plastic-bodied SY-250JA, also 250 mm, was 46,91 € less than the JK-220A.
- Removable blade, in theory. The SY-220JA listing says the blade is detachable for cleaning. The US buyer quoted above writes: “I cannot get the blade off to clean. It is supposed to be removable. There are several Allen head screws that seem to be loctited in place”. Expect to clean around the blade on these models.
- The 250B is the odd one out: 320 W and 450 RPM, but only 0-10 mm, and at 277,90 € it is 60,91 € more than the 250 mm SY-250JA (our arithmetic). It showed “Only 1 Left”.
- Two speeds for the SL520: its spec table says 75-100 RPM and its feature list says 70-100 RPM.
Who each slicer is for
VEVOR SL-5803D23B3 foldable 180 W, 170 mm: 49,90 €
For: small kitchens and occasional slicing: the cheapest and lightest slicer here (1.85 kg), 0-15 mm, folds away, security lock, suction feet, CE certified per VEVOR. Skip if: you slice large roasts or cheese every week; at 60-90 RPM and 170 mm it is a home tool.
VEVOR SL517 150 W, two 170 mm blades: 62,99 €
For: bread and meat with one small machine: serrated plus smooth 170 mm blades, folds away, 3.15 kg. Skip if: you only need one blade; the 180 W foldable is 13,09 € cheaper (our arithmetic).
VEVOR SL-5242M23C 200 W, 190 mm: 66,90 €
For: a slightly bigger home blade (190 mm) and a faster 70-100 RPM motor for 17,00 € more than the cheapest model (our arithmetic). Removable tray, blade, pusher and slider extension. Skip if: you want two blades; see the SL-520A.
VEVOR SL520 200 W, 190 mm serrated / SL-520A with two blades: 67,99 € / 71,99 €
For: the same 200 W, 190 mm home slicer, with the serrated blade only or with an extra non-serrated blade for 4,00 € more. Reversible meat tray, 1 mm recessed blade. Skip if: reviews matter to you: these two pages show 3.9 and 3.8 out of 5, and 20% one-star reviews on the SL-520A page, the weakest scores in this guide.
VEVOR SY-250JA 300 W, 250 mm: 216,99 €
For: the cheapest way into a real 10 in commercial-style slicer: 300-450 RPM, built-in sharpener, 11.3 kg so you can still lift it. Only 4,00 € more than the 220 mm SY-220JA (our arithmetic), and marked “Clearance” on the day. Skip if: you want an aluminium body or slices thicker than 12 mm.
VEVOR SY-250A 240 W, 250 mm: 247,99 €
For: a 10 in slicer in aluminium alloy with a built-in sharpening stone, transparent baffle, waterproof switch, 15.4 kg; 31,00 € more than the plastic-bodied SY-250JA (our arithmetic). Skip if: you need 15 mm slices; it stops at 12 mm.

VEVOR JK-220A 200 W, 8 in: 263,90 €
For: buyers who want this exact design: chrome-plated 45 carbon steel 8 in blade, built-in sharpening stone, food pusher with spikes. VEVOR confirms a standard EU plug for 230 V. Skip if: you compare on price; the 10 in SY-250A is cheaper.
VEVOR SY-300A 320 W, 300 mm: 318,99 €
For: the biggest blade here (300 mm, 12 in) with 0-15 mm thickness and a built-in sharpening stone, 21 kg. Skip if: it has to fit on a small counter or be put away after use.

The other commercial listings, the SY-220JA (212,99 €), 250B (277,90 €), 1A-CS110 (360,90 €) and 400 W SY-300A (362,99 €), are covered in the gotchas above; each has a cheaper or clearer alternative in this list.
Shipping, returns and warranty

- Returns and warranty: “All our products come with a 12-months warranty and can be returned for free within 30 days of delivery for approved reasons!”
- Plug: on the JK-220A, VEVOR answered that it has “a standard EU electrical connection/plug and is suitable for 230V power supply”. For other models, ask VEVOR if you need a different plug.

FAQ
Which VEVOR meat slicer is cheapest?
The foldable SL-5803D23B3 at 49,90 €: 180 W, 170 mm blade, 0-15 mm, 1.85 kg. The cheapest commercial-style slicer is the SY-220JA at 212,99 €, and the cheapest 250 mm (10 in) one is the SY-250JA at 216,99 €. Prices as shown on the EU store on October 28, 2026, delivery set to Ireland.
Can a home slicer cut frozen meat?
VEVOR lists frozen meat on every slicer here, but the home models turn at 60 to 100 RPM against 300 to 450 RPM on the commercial ones. For regular semi-frozen meat (hot pot, carpaccio, jerky), a commercial-style model is the safer choice.
Which slicer is best for bread?
A serrated blade and a 15 mm maximum thickness. The SL517 and SL-520A home slicers come with a serrated blade plus a smooth one, and all home slicers here reach 15 mm. A buyer of the SY-220JA says not to use it on stiff bread, and VEVOR advised against fresh bread on the 400 W SY-300A.
Do these slicers have a built-in sharpener?
Every commercial listing here mentions a built-in sharpener or sharpening stone. The home listings do not list one among their features, although one VEVOR Q&A answer for the SL520 refers to a built-in sharpening stone.
Is the blade removable for cleaning?
Most listings say the blade and food pusher come off for cleaning. One US owner of the SY-220JA could not remove the blade because its screws seemed glued in place, so check before you rely on it.
Do they come with an EU plug?
The links here go to eur.vevor.com, the European store, which ships within Europe. VEVOR confirmed a standard EU plug and 230 V for the JK-220A; for other models, ask VEVOR before ordering if you need a different plug.
